Did you know that it was in ancient Arabia that they first farmed lavender and distilled its oils?
The Romans then brought it to England and named it Lavanda (lavender) from the verb “lavate” to bathe. In fact they used to add bunches of this plant in their bath water… did we invent anything?
Cosmos on the other hand were named by Spanish priest who the beautiful, evenly spaced petals and chose this name to symbolize its order and harmony. This flower is also a symbol of peace, tranquility, innocence and love.
